14th July 2015Tom Nicholas – New sales manager
16th December 2015Senior Software Engineer Mark Orbell and Works Manager Ian Sparshott recently celebrated 25 years service at Paktronic, joining the other 8 members of staff who have more than 25-years service at the company.
Mark joined Paktronic from University and was originally trained within the design office producing schematic and general arrangement drawings for the panel builds. At that time PLC controls were becoming the norm within our panels and with Mark’s technical background and interest in computing, he very quickly progressed into software development and also advised clients on suitable PLC hardware for their applications. Mark has a wealth of experience programming a number of different PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and has recently conducted an in house PLC training course for Anglian Water’s commissioning engineers to broaden their knowledge on the Rockwell PLC programming platform.
Ian joined Paktronic from Grantham College as an apprentice wireman but progressed to become an extremely versatile engineer enabling him to become involved in not only the wiring/assembly of the panels, but also the testing, commissioning and any on-site modifications. In 2004 Ian became works manager responsible for all day to day Assembly and Sprayshop activities and also the corresponding training of new employees and apprentices in both departments.
